Friday 5 - Long & Shorts

  1. What is the longest you’ve gone between haircuts? Hmm, I remember a couple years ago I waited like 8 or 9 months...No more...today I got my hair cut and I waited almost three months and that was too long...just hard to get time.
  2. What is the shortest hour of the day? That is funny...an hour is an hour...I guess I could say my lunch break, but it is only 30 minutes...so that might be why...lol
  3. What is the longest line you’ve ever stood in? Hmm, it was either at Six Flags...or the security check at the air port...not sure...
  4. Who’s your shortest adult friend? Without a doubt Judy Wilson, a lady I work with here in Dallas. Well, she is in Arlington now, but we still kind of work with each other. She is not even 5 foot tall. But she is a sweet heart.
  5. Who among your current friends have you known the longest? That would have to be Janet Hunt. I have known her since we were 13 years old. We still stay in touch and know somewhat of what is going on in each other's lives. Now, if we are talking close friends who know every thing it is close. I believe I would have to say Mona, but my BFFL is not far behind. I knew Mona a few more months than BFFL. They both know me quite well, but I think BFFL knows me just a little bit better.

In a Rut?

I don't know if it is that I am in a rut...the long days or what...I never seem to blog anymore and I miss it, but I am always so tired.

I miss it too...I have stuff from our trip to NM I meant to blog about...pictures and how it went and still have not done that...a goal for this weekend? Hmm, maybe...

I also miss having the time to read everyone's blog. It would be nice if blogger had a mobile version for viewing peoples blogs so that we could read them on our phone...then it would be so much easier to keep up.

In Mississippi I used to do it at work because I was bored most of the time...now I am so freaking busy I am even too tired to do anything at the end of the day let alone at work...

I want all of you to know I miss you and I will try harder to keep up...I miss reading your fun, loving, and at times quirky posts...I miss being a little part of this part of your life....

Review: ALWAYS LOOKING UP: The Adventures of an Incurable Optimist

Okay, I already love Michael J. Fox and I did not read his first book Lucky Man, so I really did not know what to expect. I was nicely surprised. I love the way he writes like he is talking right to you...he is very real...evident in his use of a few curse words.

I love how he used four subject areas to cover his last 9 years. Most important for me was when he talked about Family and Faith. He made me laugh, he made me cry and he made me examine what whether I am giving my family all that they deserve from me and if I am true to myself were my faith is concerned.

If a person who has a disease such as he has and can have the outlook on life and keep going the way he does then we all need to think twice and examine how we are living our lives.

This is a great book that I would recommend to everyone.

Life in General

Well, I was going to do a meme, but decided I did not want to think...so I am just going to give you a little glimpse into things in my life right now...

The house still is not in order, at least now how I would like it...maybe by the end of the month...but it won't be this weekend. It is our anniversary weekend. We plan to enjoy it...even though he is on call and we can't go very far...Sure hope they hire someone soon so we can take weekend trips...Still have not made it down to Houston to visit Kerry's birth sister and would love to get back out to New Mexico.

These long days are getting to me...I don't feel like I have a home life Monday thru Friday...it is tempting to go to 9 or 10 hour days when I hire a supervisor and maybe take the first Friday and the Second Monday of a pay period off, giving me a four day weekend every other week...we'll see...it would make the four days I do work a little longer...

I bought a Wii Fit thinking it would help me exercise more, but getting up at 4:30am to barley make a 6am train and then getting home at 6:15pm if we are lucky...well, makes for a long and tiring day so I am not doing the Wii Fit...I am however walking about 1.5-2 miles a day at work just walking from the transit to my office and back at the end of the day...

I starting Twittering this week...finally gave into it...not sure aboutit yet...

Well...I guess that is about it...no new discoveries that I can think of...Oh, I did read Michael J. Fox's book Always Looking up...I'll do a review of it tomorrow...save that for another day...LOL

Blessed Be...
