Sleeping with Bread

So, this is my weekly opportunity to review my last week and analyze my ups and downs in some way.

In the past week I would say I am most grateful for having the husband that I have in my life. This past week was the week where we both work Mon-Fri and then he works Sat and Sun and has today and tomorrow off. We kind of go through this week with blinders on moving from one day to the next without much to note, if we are lucky I guess, because if we had something to note it would mean something was not right, at least that is what I think. He puts up with this mundaneness and I have to love him for that because I don't know if I could deal with a husband that could not just grin and bear it with me.

I am least grateful for the life I have because it is mundane and repeats itself every day I take it for granted that I am not living in a house that is falling down around me, that I have money to put food on my table and pay my utilities. I am trying really hard every day to make an effort to recognize that I have it pretty damn good compared to so many people out there and if my life seems mundane it is because I made it that way and I am the only one that can change that...

  1. Oh, I'm a 'create your own excitement' kinda gal--so I believe there's something to be said for 'mundane' and 'routine'.

Undisciplined as I was, I had no clue what the value of a routine and stability actually was.
Some days I take that for granted--until the next moment of excitement comes along/gets invented.

Enjoy the mundane--there's something to be said for that predictability.

  2. I can relate to your dismay at the mundane. I am the same way. I like things to change up. Also, you have such a theme of creativity on your blog, I bet that feeling like your routine doesn't change could feel uncreative and stifling.

I'm glad you have such a wonderful husband to share your life with.

Thanks for sharing in SWB this week!

  3. As my mom says, Boring is Good! But easy to take for granted, certainly. Thanks for sharing with us!
